چکیده
The field of Supply Chain Management (SCM ) is experiencing rapid strides in the use Industry 4.0 technologies and conceptualization new supply chain configurations for online retail, sustainable green chains, Circular Economy. Thus, there an increasing impetus to simulation techniques such as discrete-event simulation, agent-based hybrid context SCM. In conventional underlying constituents system like manufacturing, distribution, logistics processes are often modelled executed a single model. Unlike this approach, distributed (DSCS) enables coordinated execution models using specialist software. To understand current state-of-the-art DSCS, paper presents methodological review categorization literature DSCS framework-based approach. Through study over 130 articles, we report on motivation modelling techniques, computing middleware, its advantages future agenda, also limitations trade-offs that may be associated with adoption Internet-of-Things Cloud Computing will ensure availability both data decision-making, which likely enable data-driven future. This aims inform organizational stakeholders, researchers practitioners, systems developers software vendors, state-of-the art development applied approaches.

Comparing conventional and distributed approaches to simulation in a complex supply-chain health system
Decision making in modern supply chains can be extremely daunting due to their complex nature. Discrete-event simulation is a technique that can support decision making by providing what-if analysis and evaluation of quantitative data. However, modelling supply chain systems can result in massively large and complicated models that can take a very long time to run even with today’s powerful des...
متن کاملDistributed Supply Chain Simulation across Enterprise Boundaries
The effective practice of supply chain management (SCM) is crucial to improve corporations' competitive advantage. Many corporations have built simulation models to facilitate the application of simulation in designing, evaluating, and optimizing their supply chain. Traditionally, a supply chain involves only a single enterprise with multiple facilities and distribution centers. Hence, sharing ...
متن کاملData Distribution Management for Distributed Supply Chain Simulation
Interest in Distributed (Interactive) Simulation has over the last two decades been mostly dominated by the military and the Department of Defense. More recently, non-military, commercial applications are starting to appear in this area. Examples of these applications can be found in traffic control management, supply chain simulation and logistics. The simulation of a Distributed Supply Chain ...
متن کاملAnalysis of Supply Chain Dynamics using Distributed Simulation
Dynamics in a supply chain are attributed to the delays and amplifications in the flow of information across the supply chain system. Demand is an important form of information that passes from one firm to another. During these transfers, the demand information gets distorted leading to demand amplifications. This demand amplification effect (popularly known as the bullwhip effect) has been wid...

Discrete Event Simulation (DES) is a technique that is used by analysts to take informed decisions regarding existing or a proposed systems of interest. DES models typically represent the processes associated with various business units. However, in the case of supply chains more than one business unit may need to be modelled as different organisations may be responsible for various supply chai...
